This crowd-pleaser centers on a cast putting on a musical version of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew and the conflict on and off-stage between Fred, the show’s egotistical director, producer, and star, and the leading lady, his ex-wife Lilli. The battle of the sexes continues onstage and off, as it becomes clear that, as much as this couple profess to hate each other, they are also still in love. Cole Porter’s sparkling score features such classics as “Brush Up Your Shakespeare,” “So In Love,” and “Too Darn Hot.”
Performance dates are May 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21, at 8 p.m.; and May 8, 15 & 22, at 3 p.m.
