The Lee Playhouse presents Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Alfred Uhry's beloved play, “Driving Miss Daisy,”
When Daisy Werthan crashes her car, her son hires Hoke Colburn to be her chauffeur. Though their relationship gets off to a rocky start, the elderly Jewish widow and her tenacious African American driver build a close friendship over a period 25 years that transcends racial prejudices and social conventions - even as a nation rica struggled to shake off segregation and move toward civil rights.
