To provide organized leagues and fitness opportunities for the youth of this and surrounding communities that achieves success on non competitive sports by enhancing personal, mental and physical skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship while embracing the core values of serving the children and their families of Fort Lee.

Fall Youth Sports
Registration for Fall Youth Sports is now closed. Fall Youth Sports for 2025 runs from October 13, 2025 through November 22, 2025. See below for what is available through the Fall Youth Sports 2025 Sports Program.
Tiny Tots: for ages 18 - 35 months. This is a parent-participation program that will take place on Tuesdays, 5:30-6:15 p.m. This program is not sport specific but focuses on gross motor development skills to help prepare for the Start Smart level. Price: $15 per child.
Start Smart Flag Football: for ages 3-4. This is a parent participation program with an introduction to basic flag football skills to help prepare for the next level. Lots of fun and movement. Price: $25 per child.
Flag Football: co-ed for ages 5-16. Learn the basic skills of the sport and get to play in a non-competitive environment. Price: $55 per child.
Cheerleading: co-ed for ages 5-16. Learn basic fundamentals and cheer on your team. Price: $65 per child.
Kickball: co-ed for ages 5-16. This is a pilot program in which kids will learn basic fundamentals and skills of kickball while having fun. Price: $25.

Winter Youth Sports (Basketball & Cheerleading)
Registration for Winter Youth Sports runs from November 17, 2025 through December 19, 2025. All youth must be registered with Child and Youth Services with an up-to-date physical. The Winter Youth Sports season runs from January 13, 2026 through March 2026. See below for what is available through the Winter Youth Sports Program.
Tiny Tots: assists parents in developing motor skills in your 18 months-2 year old kids in a fun, non-threatening environment. Cost: $20 per child.
Start Smart Basketball: developmentally-appropriate introduction to basketball for kids ages 3-4 years old. This program prepares kids for the sport in a safe, fun and friendly environment. Cost: $30 per child.
Youth Basketball: for kids ages 5-16 years old. This group will continue to discover the joy of basketball while polishing their skills and learning the the value of teamwork and the fundamentals of the game. Cost: $55 per child.
Cheerleading: for kids ages 5-16 years old. Participants will learn various cheers, and chants (no stunting), and will enjoying cheering at the winter games. Cost: $65 per child.

- Functional Fitness

The CYS Functional Fitness focuses on functional movement patterns to strengthen muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time. Functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability. Fort Lee will offer a variety of clinics throughout the year. Keep an eye out!
- Enrollment

Youth participating in Youth Sports & Fitness Programs must register at the Parent Central Services, Bldg. 10624 Yorktown Drive. Call +(804)765-3852 for more information.
Proof of age (ID card or birth certificate) and sports physical is required at the time of registration if the sport offered requires it.
Sports physicals must be current at the time of registration. If the physical expires during the season, a new physical must be obtained before the expiration date. Appointment slips are at the discretion of the YSF Director. Expired Physicals will not be accepted.
All sports enrollments will include a uniform. Uniforms will either be a shirt/jersey or Jersey and socks.
Individual medals will also be provided for each enrollment and handed out at the end of the sport season at no additional cost.
All safety equipment needed for the season is the responsibility of the parent i.e. mouth guards, shin guards, goalie gloves, and protective cups.
Any child/youth/teen who has additional medical needs such as but not limited to inhalers or epi-pens require additional paperwork that will affect sports registration timeframes.
Eligibility is extended to family members of active duty military personnel, DoD civilians, DoD contractors, non-DoD civilians and active duty reservists and/or National Guard.

Fort Lee Youth Sports invites you to coach today's children and youth! Training includes National Alliance of Youth Sports Coaches Certification (NYSCA), how to identify and report child abuse, CPR/First Aid. CYS processes background checks on all coach applicants. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, please contact us today.
Volunteer Head Coaches receive all his/her children's sports registrations free during the season he/she coaches.
Volunteer Assistant Coaches receive his/her first child's registration free and each additional child 15% off during the season he/she coaches.
