ACS Child Abuse Prevention Month

Join Army Community Services Family Advocacy Program in raising awareness and strengthening families across the Fort Lee community this April.

Child abuse and neglect are serious public health concerns—but they are also preventable. This month also highlights the importance of safe sleep practices for infants, helping reduce the risk of sleep-related deaths.

The Fort Lee community is encouraged to:

  • Learn the signs of child abuse and neglect
  • Practice and promote safe sleep habits for infants (Alone. On their Back. In a Crib.)
  • Support families through awareness and education
  • Speak up—if you suspect abuse or neglect, report it

Stop by Army Community Service throughout April to learn more about:

  • Child abuse prevention
  • Safe sleep education
  • Resources available to support military families
