Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Army Community Service's Victim Advocacy Program is hosting awareness events in October in honor of national Domestic Violence Awareness month. The Fort Lee community is encouraged to come out and support the Victim Advocacy Program and event participants as we show that community togetherness and social awareness can triumph over some of the most difficult moments in life. The awareness event schedule is the following:

October

  • 3, Color Run, 5 a.m. at Williams Stadium, open to military only. Individuals, groups and units must RSVP by September 26. Call +1(804) 734-6378 to RSVP today.
  • 18, PAWS for the Cause, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Fort Lee Dog Park, open the Fort Lee Community. This event includes a pet parade, pet costume contests, food trucks, giveaways, community vendors and more!
  • 25, Dodgeball Tournament, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Clarke Fitness Center, open to the Fort Lee Community. Participants must RSVP by October 22. Call +1(804) 734-6378 to RSVP today.
