Month of the Military Child (MOMC)

April is officially proclaimed as the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the bravery, sacrifices, and resilience of children in military families. This year's theme is "Young Lives - Big Stories" and there is strength in every story. Fort Lee is celebrating with a few fun celebrations throughout the month.

  • We kick off a month of fun with the reading and signing of the MOMC Proclamation at the School Age Center on March 31, at 3:30 p.m. Open to the community.
  • Kids registered in CYS programs are invited to the Pep Rally on April 3, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m., to participate in a field day of music and fun at the CYS Campus Sports Field.
  • The entire community is invited to get "color dusted" at the Color Run on April 25, with check-in starting at 10:00 a.m. and the first wave of runners starting at 11:30 a.m. Participants are splashed with color as they run the designated route on the CYS campus. The Color Run is open to the community. No walk-ups; registration required.
  • Bring your kids to Jump Jam on April 30, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. at the CYS Campus Sports Field. There will be games, bounce houses, and lots of fun. This event is FREE and open to the community.
