Reading is an adventure of the imagination and that is certainly reflected in the theme of this year's Summer Reading Program: “Plant a Seed, Read." As the seeds of nature can nourish our bodies, a library grows the ideas that nourish our minds. The mission of the Summer Reading Program is to help families bridge the “summer learning gap” and the Fort Lee Community Library certainly has a summer-load of fun activities to help keep your kids interested in reading.
The special events includes guest readers, crafts and movement-centered exercise. All the fun happens at the Clark Fitness Center on June 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon.
This program is open to ALL ages, so adults are welcome to participate too! Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for all Summer Reading Program events/activities. This is a FREE program. Sign up for this year’s summer reading program by visiting the library. Registration beings June 10.
The Fort Lee Community Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Army Logistics University, Building 12420. The Clark Fitness Center is located at Clarke Avenue, BLDG 4320, Fort Lee.
